Other Specialties
With Element ICF, it’s possible to pretty much build anything better. Listed below are even more specialty applications you can build better with Element.
Remember though, the possibilities are almost endless, so please get in touch if you have an application in mind that is not depicted on our website.
Safe Rooms
The resilient, steel-reinforced concrete walls provided by Element ICF are ideal for stand-alone or in-home FEMA-compliant safe rooms.
Tall Walls
Element site-assembled blocks and Pro Buck create tremendous efficiencies in tall wall construction. Tall wall bracing systems are typically used with ICF tall wall construction and can offer many unique benefits, such as 7′ work bays, OHSA-approved engineering and fast, secure attachments to the Element ICF tall walls.
Military Facilities
With environmental sustainability as one of its guiding principles, the Army Corps of Engineers works diligently to strengthen America’s security by building and maintaining its infrastructure and providing military facilities where their service members train, work and live.
Element ICF is a great fit for these projects due to our inherent construction efficiencies, built-in resilience and superior energy efficiency – all qualities that dovetail perfectly with their disciplined operating philosophies and guidelines.
Swimming Pools
Element ICF is an ideal choice when building swimming pools. Element ICF “6 Steps in 1” ICF offers a speed of build that is typically faster than other methods. Plus, Element blocks are easy to handle, and no heavy equipment is required for delivery, lifting or cutting (an important consideration for difficult-to-access backyards). Element also easily forms curved walls that are commonly found in pools.
Experts calculate that up to 80% of a pool’s heat is lost through its sides and bottom due to the fact that the ground conducts heat far more efficiently than air does. Combined with radiant floor heating and Heat-Sheet® radiant panels, a durable Element pool lowers your energy bills for years to come and can even extend your swimming season in northern climates.
Shallow Frost-Protected Foundations (SFPFs)
Element-built SFPFs are a smart choice for building lots with poor soil or high water tables that would often be virtually undevelopable otherwise. SFPFs are built on top of the soil and do not require frost walls, grade beams or piles. Essentially this floating foam insulated foundation system wraps the home from the bottom up!
Element ICF is ideal for this unique application because it uses many of the unique accessory products offered by Element ICF, including KD forms, half-height forms, taper tops and Heat-Sheet® panels.
